As of April 21, Google has begun favoring websites in mobile searches that are mobile-device friendly. And on May 5 Google announced that, for the first time, more Google searches in the U.S. came from smartphones and tablets than from laptops and desktop computers. A big reason for this is that, unlike in the past, people now use mobile devices everywhere—from their cars to their couches—not just when they’re “mobile.”
