He also hosts Rapid Insights, SHSMD’s marketing podcast for healthcare strategy professionals, on the SHSMD website and major platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart, and more.
With decades of experience in radio and podcasting, Bill brings a unique perspective and deep expertise to helping hospitals across the country develop and execute impactful audio and video podcast marketing strategies.

Karen Busse | Norton Healthcare

Karen Busse, M.S., CCEMC, is the Director of Continuing Medical Education at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky. She leads a dedicated team in planning and implementing accredited educational programs for physicians and other providers.

In 2024, her team accredited over 300 educational programs, reaching more than 24,000 learners. With over 25 years of healthcare experience, Karen brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Additionally, in her role, she is the coordinator of MedChat, Norton’s continuing medical education podcast for clinical providers by clinical providers, launched in April 2019.

Jordana Taylor| BayCare Health System


Jordana Taylor
 is a Marketing Manager at BayCare Health System. With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit and marketing roles, Ms. Taylor brings a strategic and mission-driven approach to her work. Since joining BayCare in 2013, she has led the development and execution of integrated marketing plans across six counties, supporting 13 hospitals and numerous ambulatory facilities. She also manages key marketing partnerships and was pivotal in launching BayCare HealthChat®, the organization’s first official podcast series.

Jordana previously led charitable programs for the NFL’s Washington Commanders. She holds degrees from Augustana College and The George Washington University.

Kim Marcum | Orlando Health

Kim Marcum is the assistant vice president for strategic communications and content at Orlando Health. In this role, she oversees teams in multiple markets that all work hard to tell compelling stories that differentiate the healthcare system. These messages appear in a variety of formats — from 280-character social media posts to multi-page spreads in print magazines. In 2023, she oversaw the development and launch of the award-winning Taboo Topics podcast, which features monthly episodes with Orlando Health physicians.

She joined Orlando Health in 2014 and has helped build the many ways Orlando Health now communicates with audiences across the southeastern United States and into the Caribbean. Her teams are also responsible for internal and corporate communications and monitoring the organization’s digital reputation.

Kim earned a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in Chicago and spent more than 25 years in daily journalism. At the Orlando Sentinel, her team was a named finalist for the 2013 Pulitzer Prize in local reporting. Her experience enables Orlando Health to share audience-focused information, news, and human-interest stories across the organization’s growing geographic footprint.

Bonnie Ward | CommonSpirit Health


Bonnie Ward is a creative Market Director of Marketing and Communication with over 15 years of experience specializing in product marketing, brand messaging, content marketing, and team leadership. With a proven track record of executing multi-million-dollar campaigns for consumer brands and business-to-business (B2B) organizations, backed by top recognitions including a Silver Anvil award in 2023 from the Public Relations Society of America, multiple Gold status recognitions from the 40th Annual Healthcare Ad Awards, and two Diamond Awards from the Arkansas Hospital Association.


Bonnie is adept at defining content marketing strategies that raise brand awareness, drive financial performance, and build customer loyalty. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Arkansas in Mass Communication and Gender Studies and a Master of Arts from UA Little Rock in Applied Communication and Training.
