Are You Making the Most of Your Referral Opportunities?
If you wear glasses, you probably remember putting them on for the first time. Everything was in focus! The difference was probably startling – all those details you couldn’t see before became crystal clear.
The right technology tool can empower you in a similar way. You can see things more clearly, and the before-and-after makes you realize what you were missing. That was the experience Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) had when it changed to a new physician relationship management (PRM) solution. “We didn’t know what we didn’t know,” says Nancy Vanselow, referral development manager at CHW.
Vanselow recently spoke with us about how CHW’s new PRM platform has changed things for the better.
“We’ve been lucky that investment in our physician liaisons has always been valued by our leadership,” she says. “But now we’re getting pulled into leadership meetings to report on our activities and issues that come up.” Her biggest win, though, was being able to justify adding a part-time employee during an off-cycle budget year.
Are you able to make the most of your referral opportunities? Or is the picture fuzzy? In our new article, we look at how Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin uses PRM to bring the referral picture in Wisconsin into sharp focus, and how the organization plans to evolve its program in the future.
