More and more people are using mobile devices to access and consume digital content. In response to this growing trend, Google is now giving preferential treatment to mobile-friendly websites in search results from mobile devices. So if your site isn’t mobile-friendly, how big a problem is it? Has organic search fallen off a cliff?

To find answers, we checked in with Chris Boyer, Senior Vice President, Digital at ReviveHealth (former AVP, Digital Strategy at North Shore LIJ). “Having a mobile-friendly site is going to be preferred,” Boyer says. “It does drive higher search results.”

In our in-depth interview with Boyer, we look at where mobile advertising is today, where it’s going in the future, and what leading organizations are doing to respond to the new dynamics. We discuss questions like:

  • What are the considerations for SEO in a mobile-friendly world?
  • What role does information architecture play in mobile design?
  • Can websites count on organic search or is it now imperative to invest in paid search as well?
