As the pandemic surged in Southern California in 2020, leaders at UCLA Health posed the question, “What if we could turn digital products and tools that we were merely piloting into full-blown digital experiences?”
UCLA Health was one of three healthcare systems that received the prestigious Mark Gothberg eHealthcare Organizational Commitment Award at the 22nd Annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards held at HCIC in Las Vegas on November 4, 2021. This award is the highest honor conferred by eHealthcare Leadership Awards, with entries evaluated on an organization’s overall digital approach and strategy, including web and mobile strategy, marketing, staffing, internal communications, financial commitment, and most important, results.
In addition to the eHealthcare Organizational Commitment Award, UCLA Health won 15 awards in the following categories: Best Digital Leadership in Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Best Overall Internet, Best Site Design, Best Landing Page or Microsite, Best Interactive, Best Rich Media, Best Social Media, Best Healthcare Content, Best Overall Digital Patient Experience, Best Digital Internal Communications, and Best Intranet.
“We are especially pleased to receive the eHealthcare Organizational Commitment Award throughout our digital and social channels,” states Linda Ho, executive director of marketing, innovation, technology, and operations at UCLA Health. “We work to add innovative tools and technologies to engage our patients and audiences and really reinforce UCLA Health’s commitment to health equity, diversity, and inclusion, highlighting what we’re doing to bring about change.”
