Shondria Covington is an engaging leader with a high level of expertise in academic healthcare, wireless, and telecommunications industries. She is a multi-channel marketing leader and analytical thinker with extensive knowledge of marketing concepts and a strong record of contributions in B2C/B2B marketing, digital and social media marketing, project management, and event planning. In her current role at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), Shondria has leadership responsibility for marketing and digital marketing strategy across the institution and the clinical enterprise. She is a collaborative and inspirational leader. She is highly supportive of mentoring and developing those on her team and is recognized for her ability to achieve lasting results.
Prior to joining MSM, Shondria served as regional marketing director at UnitedHealthcare where she led the development and management of regional B2B and B2C acquisition and retention multi-touch healthcare marketing programs in conjunction with sales team goals and objectives, including strategic marketing and planning, “blue chip” goals, budget management, execution, and ROI tracking.
Shondria is a graduate of Spelman College earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry. She received a Master of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. After receiving her MBA, she went on to further pursue her Master of Science in Marketing at the J Mack Robinson College of Business (Georgia State University).
Shondria is proud of her work in a number of civic organizations that focus on creating leadership opportunities for African-American children as well as those associations that seek to serve the underserved. She actively gives her time to Jack and Jill of America, Inc, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program with the Internal Revenue Service. She joyfully dedicates the majority of her free time to her 19-year-old daughter, a junior at Florida A&M University. She attends New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta.
