Internal communication strategies don’t fail because there aren’t enough messages. They fail because the messages don’t reach people in a way that works.
At Southeast Georgia Health System, that gap showed up clearly. In a 2024 engagement survey, fewer than half of team members felt communication across the organization was effective, and just 55 percent felt their own work units communicated well.
“For a workforce that spends most of the day on the move, the issue wasn’t volume. It was access,” says Melody Bradley, supervisor of digital media at Southeast Georgia Health System.
