AI is still in its infancy, but it has already made a dent in the universe, to quote Steve Jobs.

Fifteen years ago, we were dazzled when IBM Watson beat a human player in Jeopardy. Today, mathematicians are astonished at how quickly AI solves its thorniest problems, like the Millennium Prize’s Navier-Stokes problem — about how fluids flow.

In healthcare, the problems we’d like AI to solve are less theoretical. They are about people: How can AI help things flow better for patients? That is the dent in the universe healthcare marketers want to make.

During the closing keynote session of eHealthcare Strategy & Trends’ June virtual summit, AI in Healthcare Marketing Week, three healthcare leaders talked about their aspirations for AI and the problems it could solve in the future. Ryan Younger from Virtua Health emphasized that it’s all about people. “How we think about AI is around how do we get closer to the consumer and to the patient, and they’re really at the center of everything we do.”
