// By Susan Dubuque //
To truly meet the healthcare needs of patients and citizens of New Jersey, Hackensack Meridian Health leaders recognized that the system needed to invest in digital health. And the investments had to go beyond purchasing new technology — it would require total commitment at every level of the organization.
Hackensack Meridian Health was one of four health-related organizations to receive the Mark Gothberg eHealthcare Organizational Commitment Award at the 23rd Annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards presented at HCIC in Miami on November 9, 2022.
This is the award program’s highest honor, recognizing industry leadership, innovation, and commitment. Entries are evaluated on an organization’s overall digital approach and strategy, including web and mobile, marketing, staffing, internal communications, financial commitment, and results.
In addition to the Organizational Commitment Award, HMH won seven other awards in the following categories: Best Overall Internet, Best Provider Directory, Best Email Content – Individual Email, Best Mobile App, Best Intranet, Best Video – Long Form, and Best Digital Internal Communications.
“We’re thrilled to be honored with this award,” says Pamela Landis, Hackensack Meridian’s senior vice president for digital engagement. “Responsibility for digital advancement doesn’t rest with one individual or a single department. It requires the engagement of operations, marketing, information technology, and most importantly, clinicians and patients.”
