Effectively engaging with patients, physicians, employees, and community members means going beyond traditional communication methods. Orlando Health has embraced this challenge head-on, creating an expansive digital communication strategy that meets people where they are: on screens of all kinds.
Whether engaging with current consumers, strengthening relationships with strategic partners, or connecting with new audiences, the Orlando Health marketing team leverages various digital platforms to tell the story of what sets the health system apart.
“Over the past four years, Orlando Health has developed a comprehensive digital presence that has enabled the organization to thrive and gain national recognition,” says Kim Marcum, assistant vice president of strategic communications and content for Orlando Health. “In March 2020, the team accelerated its digital communication strategy, shifting more efforts and resources to social media, new website landing pages, and targeted newsletters.”
Business as usual has transformed significantly since then. Today, every division applies the lessons learned to address their nonclinical communication challenges through digital solutions. “This is a strategy Orlando Health is leveraging as we move into new markets like Central Alabama,” says Marcum. “It’s portable, efficient, and effective. And it enables us to be nimbler.”
